The M Family Established May 1993
Steve and I were introduced in May of 1992. In October of 1992, Steve asked me out for his roommate because his roommate was too shy to ask me himself. Steve had a girlfriend at that time and thought it would be nice if we all double dated. I did end up going out with his roommate but luckily it did not end up being a double date.
In January of 1993, Steve asked me out again, but this time for himself. He no longer had a girlfriend. We dated for 3 weeks when in February 1993 he asked me to marry him. We had just got back from a fireside at the BYU Marriott Center and had witnessed President Hunter being held hostage and threated by someone who said they had a bomb. It definitely made for an interesting evening.
We were married in the San Diego Temple in May of 1993. Three months later we found out that I was expecting a child. We found out in the emergency room because I had not been feeling well and some of my symptoms made it sound like I was bleeding internally.
So here we are 4 children and 18 years later. We are so grateful for the life we have been given and for all the wonderful blessings that we have.
