Hello From Russia

I really wanted to blog about my trip to Russia
but have had limited internet access and
have been extremely busy.

So for now,
basically all you will get is
Hello From Russia.

I have come to speak with journalist and reporters
to see if we can find a family to adopt Natasha.

I have had so many positive experiences with the Russian Citizens
while I have been here.

And
I took my first subway/metro ride today
with no Russian speakers to accompany me.

Just look at this map and be impressed that I made it to
my destination and back.
Especially considering I have never rode a subway before
not even in English.

Nevermind I cannot get pictures to upload to my blog from my iPad.

See this is why I have not wanted to blog from here.

So I will have to wait until I get home to tell you all about my adventures in Russia.

Of course I will be sharing all articles written about me here too.

I have to say it has been very emotional for me to be in Russia and
not to see Natasha.

That would not be fair to her as she would wonder why I cannot take her home
so I did not even ask the orphanage if they would let me come.

Plus I have heard it is illegal to visit her and I would
not want to every get her orphanage in trouble.

I was able to visit Downside Up today and plan on coming home and
helping to raise funds for their organization
so that more biological families have the opportunity
to keep their children with Down syndrome.

I will never be sorry for taking this trip.

I have done my best to bring awareness that there are many
children with disabilities caught in the ban
and to help the concerned Russian citizens
bring awareness to the needs of the children stuck in the orphanages.

So stay tuned.......
